It’s finally Spring! Which means it is officially time for Spring cleaning. When the weather gets warm it’s vital that everything that reminds us of our gloomy winter gets put away.
I’m going to be sharing some of the best ways you can start Spring cleaning now and getting your life together before Summer hits! These are just a few things I will be implementing in my Spring cleaning routine —
- Use a planner & journal: To keep these next couple months in check, I like to write everything down in both my planner & journal. Writing things down helps improve your memory to actually complete the task. If you need to remember which day you want to start Spring cleaning, write it down!
- Google calendar: You are not much of the writing type, that’s fine. To keep your reminders and task organized put them into Google calendar, or whatever app you use. This can help you get reminders directly sent to your phone!
- Reminders: Similar to the above, setting reminders on your phone can help you get things done. There is an amazing tool in reminders, that will remind you something when you make it to a certain location.
- Clean up your space: This is important when Spring cleaning, you might not notice how messy your living or work space has become. Take the time to tidy up and organize the entire area. When cleaning, to help better organize the space group together like items and give them a designated area. Get some sunlight and listen to some good music! (For some new music click here 🕺💃)
- Create a to-do list: My absolute favorite thing while getting organized is to cross things off my to-do list. To-do list helps with getting a grasp on how much you have to do in a certain time frame, while also giving you a pick me up when you can finally cross a task off.
- Plan within: If you rather not use pencil and paper or your phone, try to plan to yourself. Think about what you want to accomplish, how you will do it, and what will be the end result.
- Clean your closet: This can be daunting depending on how messy you typically leave your closet! Move winter clothes all the way and hang up your Spring/Summer wardrobe. I like to organize my closet with pants on one side and tops on the other. Do whatever is easiest for you!
This is not all you can do to start Spring cleaning, but it is a good start. Happy Spring, everyone, and enjoy your new organized self!
