A Year in Review

2019 was…

Just like everyone else on the internet, I am excited about the end of the decade and the New Year. There are the classic haters who do not want you to use the New Year as a way to create new goals for yourself, but I think it’s the perfect time to reflect and imagine new possibilities for yourself. I think you can constantly change throughout the year, but it’s something about starting the year with a positive mindset.

As 2019 comes to a close I want to reflect on some of my wins this year. I’m looking forward to hearing about other peoples 2019 wins as well, feel free to comment here or let me know on Instagram.

these are not in order*

  1. Fully developed my curl pattern: Because baby she was rough for quite some time but this year, my hair has flourished.
  2. Nicer to me: I am my biggest critic but this year I have been nicer to myself, go me!
  3. Caught flights: I’ve been on the most flights than ever before this year. More flights in 2020.
  4. Caught feelings: Celebrated year 5 with my best friend
  5. Stayed booked: Modeling will be going up because your girl stays booked.
  6. Took control of my passions: I’ve been taking more time for my blog, youtube, fashion, sewing, modeling, etc. and I’m so happy about that
  7. turned 21: that’s just a big deal
  8. Being more outspoken: if you know me you know I can be quiet and shy, but I’ve noticed myself using my voice more often
  9. Spent half of my summer in London and the other half in New York: Best summer of my life
  10. Had my dream internship: part of my best summer ever, I got to experience a little taste of my future
  11. Went to my first NYFW: EEEK
  12. Finished my last Fall semester at UMICH with all A’s
  13. Solidified some amazing relationships & let go of the ones that were not doing me any justice
  14. Became THE influencer: Because I came for all bags and snatched them
  15. Celebrated my family and friends wins
  16. Had fun being me: Above all else, I’ve had a lot of fun this year learning more about myself and growing into the woman I have always imagined myself being.

Cheers to 2020!
