Setting Goals with Intention

Setting goals is easy, execution is the challenge.

As I prepare myself for the new year, I have had the time to reflect on the opportunities I have been afforded throughout 2019.

A few days after Christmas, I asked my sisters to join me in a “goal party.” Where we wrote down our goals, along with an I am statement to set the tone for January. I decided that we had to have at least five short term goals and five long term goals. Then we had to share one goal from each and go into further detail. The reason why this last step was so important, is because a lot of times we set goals and expect them to happen on their own. However, there has to be a reason you want to accomplish the goal in the first place and some actions behind the goal.

My goals for January (starting small — I cannot plan my entire 2020)

Short term:

  1. add classes to planner
  2. edit videos and blogs
  3. throw away clothes (for real this time)
  4. add more decor to my room
  5. more Paris Atavia creates
  6. me time ~ please have some
  7. focus on body
  8. apply to jobs and interview

Long term:

  1. be consistent on blog and youtube
  2. prepare for interviews and future job
  3. practice mindfulness
  4. grow socials
  5. be intentional with plans and goals
  6. call family more

I share my personal goals as a chance for those who have not thought about anything to reflect on what they want the rest of this month and the year. Also to hold myself accountable because now my goals are shared with my sisters, friends, and readers!

Take some time to reflect and plan how you want your year to go!
