Sharing my favorite looks from the Bronze Elegance 2020 Fashion Show
With being in quarantine, a lot of us don’t have the opportunity to get dressed up. Some days when I go for walks, I buss out full fits just to be able to feel normal again. Even though we are spending most of our days indoors, that does not mean we cannot take some time to appreciate fashion.
Before quarantine, I attended the Bronze Elegance Fashion Show on campus, which featured plenty of student models and designers. The theme of the show was Met Gala, and ranged from American Styles to futuristic technological looks. As I sat in my chair to support my best friend (VP of Bronze 2020), I was able to capture some of my favorite looks.
Goddess: The Classical Mode
The details in this look were everything! I loved the incorporation of the fans as it added movement to the outfit. The hair accessories was the icing on the cake, which completed the entire look. This look was everything soft and feminine, I loved how the tulle was perfectly placed in this.
Art of the In-Between
The headwear embodied all things art and fashion. This had to be in my top five, I am obsessed with corsets and this look.
Fashion in an Age of Technology
Work wear will always be in! I loved the use of the simple black belt to cinch the waist. Also, the necklace layering really brought this look to life. This outfit was so shiny! I love the contrast in colors with the consistent sparkle, all the way down to the boot. I could not get any good pictures of the shoe, but trust me it flowed together perfectly.
The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion
As you can see from the images, the lighting was purple. This look fit in so well with the aesthetic of the stage and room.
PUNK: Chaos to Couture
I absolutely adored this trio, I loved how they played with pinks and purples. The long draping necklace pictured on the model in the middle was *chefs kiss*.As soon as I saw these pants come down the runway, my eyes were locked in! I’m obsessed with the detailing in the rips. And let’s not forget the shoes, they were perfect for this pair of jeans.Durags in high fashion is it! I also fell in love with this graphic split shirt.I wanted to snatch this outfit off of her and put it on me! The deep green in the dress, with the gold accessories, was everything.
Camp: Notes on Fashion
Okay let’s take a moment to let this look sink in! Absolutely in love with everything about this. It’s giving me attending an ex’s funeral vibes. Giving the girls I came to slay. I adore the mesh detailing on the sleeves. This abstract dress was very pleasing to the eye. This collection of dresses were not like anything I have ever seen. I felt like they all should be displayed in a fashion museum.
Maybe I’m biased because my favorite color is blue, but this blue was too beautiful. I loved the light blue detailing at the bottom of the skirt. Also, loving the full skirt look, I personally could not pull off the ball gown shape but it looks great here! The blue, the props, the serve. Need I say more?
College Chic: A Bronze Elegance Original Theme
Streetwear is one of my favorite styles, this graphic tee was perfect for this scene. I loved the bright handbag to piece the look together. As you can tell I’m all about the details. This outfit was super simple for the runway, but the necklace and belt helped make the outfit pop.
This last section is looks that I loved from the executive board. Each member played with black and gold in their own personal ways. I loved the simplicity of these looks and how jewelry played a large role in making these come together.
I’m hoping that I can attend some more fashion shows soon, but until then I’ll just continue binge watching America’s Next Top Model.
Let me know what fashion post you want to see next! Which look was your favorite?
